triquetrum-0.2.1 fails to start under Mac OS with Java 1.8 #307

I downloaded http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/triquetrum/0.2.1/org.eclipse.triquetrum.workflow.editor.rcp.incubation-0.2.1-macosx.cocoa.x86_64.zip and it fails to start.
I get the splash screen and then I get a dialog:

An error has occurred.
See the log file
/private/tmp/.metadata/.log

It looks like the problem is that something was compiled with Java 1.9 and I'm running Java 1.8.

If I fix this in the Jenkins build, should I update the 0.2.1 binaries or should we bump up the version number?

Also, the Mac 0.2.1 binary was unsigned.
