I have opened a ticket with 2i2c about this.

I would love for this to work:

%load_extension snakeviz

%%snakeviz
some_function_call()

...and then get a nice icycle plot (see https://jiffyclub.github.io/snakeviz/)

Some addtl info:

Using snakeviz on a jupyterhub installation jiffyclub/snakeviz#146

I believe that snakeviz starts a small local server, so a solution to this might be related to #2 and the jupyter-server-proxy
