egui text input: keyboard does not pop up

tried both agtk-egui and na-egui on
android 9 (28) with latest ndk. Multitouch example also doesn't work properly.

I think it's a problem with egui, since using the official egui website on mobile doesn't pop up the keyboard, at least no easily. Here's a possibly related issue.
