as of 109, I now have spell check, and no third party extension doing it.

the feature was removed from //flags in 71, leaving only 'mute site'

I am requesting we also get back the mute tab //flag for people to turn on if they want (off by default)

I can confirm that spell check does indeed seem to be working out of the box, however not for all languages. For example, it doesn't work for Korean where I still need to download the dictionary file manually.
